Mostly likely it happened overnight. We had him for about two years, and I remember him as a gentle, sweet hamster who was good with the kids. I also remember his late-night escapes - we would find him often in the closet, or under the stove. Sometimes he would even run up to me while I was searching, as though he were ready to return to his cage. We will miss you, little guy.
